Halfway Across The Lake

pull   breathe   and glide    pull   breathe   and glide

silky water slides past my skin

it takes halfway across the lake

before the rhythm catches up

liquid silence cradles me now

all i hear is my own breathing

sunshine shatters at the surface

brilliant bracelets ring my arms

my whole body stretches out and

catches broken sunlight shards

viewed from heaven i am glowing

water transforms me into light
